Late summer walk

We take a walk to the lake. There is a lot to be seen.

A salamander basks itself in the warmth of the sun.

A little pool full of tadpoles. They still seem to be so small. How are the going to survive the winter?

We take a rest at the lakeside. Jeanny tries to persuade Nicôle to join her in the water.

What a view.

On the way back home, Nicôle spots something high up in a dead pine tree.

It's an - old - woodpecker granary.

Finally, I capture this beautiful dragonfly - one of the many we encountered during our walk - sunbathing on the bench in our yard.
