This is a follow up on my recent post 'Lack of time'.
With regard to writing and blogging, from now on, I have to prioritize my efforts to write the sequel to 'Naar de Noorderzon, emigrating to Sweden' and 'In het Hoge Noorden, living in Sweden' - the two books Nicôle and I wrote in 2007 and 2008 about our life-changing emigration to Sweden - and our Dutch blog. The main reasons for this are that 'Part 3' of our emigration story in book form is long overdue, and that, at this moment, writing and publishing this book - together with some other books we are currently working on - is the only way for us to generate some money. And from time to time, it won't surprise you, even we need money to pay the bills.
The Dutch blog has priority too. Not only because our diary is the basis for the books we write, but also because it is one of our main promotion tools. And without proper promotion, we will not be able to sell any books.
Which brings me to this blog. I simply don't have the time to make it a carbon copy of my original Dutch blog, as I originally intended to. I do not want to 'kill' it either. Too many people seem to enjoy my reports from the Swedish woods, and I, for my part, enjoy sharing our experiences with the new and esteemed audience I found through this blog.
Something has to change though, and this is how it is going to be. Once a month, I will post an update about the developments in our life. And in between, if something of interest occurs, I will post pictures and short texts. Evaluation at the end of the year, and then we will see where that leads to. I hope you can live with that.
